''painting around the town''
AUGUST 2009
Works by the Cape Cod Plein Air Painters are displayed this month. The theme of the
exhibit is ''painting around the town'' and Orleans scenes will be featured. In
conjunction with the show, the Plein Air Painters will hold a "paint out"
on August 9th from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m..(Rain
Date: August 16) Maps will be available at the library prior to that date
indicating where the various artists will be painting.

Kathryn Kleekamp, author of Cape Cod and the Islands: Where
Beauty & History Meet published this summer by Schiffer
will speak.
Her book combines brief histories of Cape and Island towns, traditions and foods with
her own original paintings and photographs and some historical photographs.
